In this lesson you are going to learn when you use too , and when you are going to use Enough.



Use the following to give a reason with too.



Too +adjective / adverb + infinitive

Example: with adjective

-I’m too young to vote.

(I can´t vote)

-She isn’t too young to vote

(She can vote)

With adverb

-I arrived too late to vote.

(I couldn’t vote)



And also you can use enough to give a reason:



Adjective / adverb + enough + infinitive

Example with adjective:

-I’m old enough to go into the army.

(I can’t go into the army)

-he isn’t old enough to go into the army

(he cant go into the army)





Example with adverb:



-I ran fast enough to pass the physical.

(I passed the physical)





1-    To continue here are some tips for the use of too and enough.



*too comes before the adjective or adverb.

*enough comes after the adjective or adverb.



2-    Sometimes we use for + noun/pronoun before the infinitive.



3-    You don’t need the infinitive when the meaning is clear.
